2024-2025 High School Season
What you need to know...
High School Varsity Team divers focus on skills and dives necessary for being a competitive high school diver. HS Varsity divers need to learn all dive categories and will use all board levels for training, but competition will be focused on 1 meter. Divers form all AFD coached high schools will practice together during the HS Varsity practice times.
*HS Varsity (HSV) is the name of this training group. Actual Varsity and Junior Varsity designations as well as any other high school team awards are talked through and decided on with the Head Swim Coach and other coaching staff for each school. Training in the HSV group does not entitle any diver to earning a Varsity letter from their school

Signing up for the Season...
***PLEASE DO NOT START THE FOLLOWING UNTIL AFTER OCTOBER 25TH AND YOU ARE SURE YOUR DIVER IS GOING TO BE ON THEIR SCHOOL TEAM. ALL REGISTRATIONS NEED COMPLETED BY NOVEMBER 10TH 2024.***
We will charge a $100 late registration fee for any diver that has not completed registration by Nov. 5th.
All High School divers need 3 things before they can sign up for the season.
- AFD Team Membership = $75.00
- AAU Diving Membership = $20.00
- USA Diving Membership = $40.00
If a diver has already signed up and has been training during the Fall Session, they should have already completed these 3 memberships and do not need to do them again.
All of the information for the AAU & USA Diving membership is found on the website, linked above.
Once a diver completes the 2025 Team Membership (linked above) you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to officially register for practices.

For Dual Meets...
Each week of the season, 1 category is the required required to be done for any dual meets that week. Any dive from this group can be used as the required dive. The required dive has a max DD of 1.8. A dive with a DD higher than 1.8 may be used, but the DD will be capped at 1.8.
For the remaining 5 rounds, 4 different groups much be represented. There is no DD limit for rounds 2-6.
The required category remains the same even if that team has multiple meets in that same week.
