AFD National Team
Divers will join the National Team invitation only.
This team is designed for divers who wish to participate and train at a higher level. Mandatory weekly practice which will vary by season/training cycle progress.
For those who have dedicated themselves to diving as their primary sport, committed to dive year-round, are close to or have already developed the skills necessary to compete in Jr. National and Sr. National meets and are committed to diving in college. National Team divers will train 4-6 days a week depending on where we are at in the training cycle and compete 1 meter, 3 meter, and/or platform. Competing in AAU & USA Diving events through the level of qualification is required.
Ages
Divers of any age can be invited to the National Team.
When
Practice times vary based on team schedule and pool availability.
Joining the National Team is a 12-month commitment beginning each August.

Practices
National Team divers train year-round with pre-scheduled training breaks. Training will vary, 4-6 days per week with total training time of 10-12 hours per week.
Meets
Attending meets for National Team divers is required.
AFD Team Gear
AFD approved team suits and apparel is required for all National Team divers.

Do not register for the National Team if you have not been invited to do so by your AFD coaches.
