Ohio Diving League

Divers compete in ODL events based on skill set, not age. Of the 6 levels, each level has different skills required. Level 1 is the most basic with Level 6 being the most advanced.

Divers may compete different levels on 1mt, 3mt, & tower, when available.

*Occasionally there will be a Level 7 event - this is typically only for divers that need to get a qualifying score in an event to qualify for a national meet or something similar.

Most Ohio Diving League (ODL) meets are on Sunday, with 11:00am warmups and the first events starting at 12:00pm.

1 METER

*Levels 1-3 are non competitive with all DD @ 1.0*

Level 1; Each dive list must contain 4 dives, with no repeats. All skills are assigned a DD of 1.0.

Round 1 must feature a dive from the list: 100A, 100B, or 100C.

Round 2 must feature a dive from the list: 200A, 200B, or 200C.

Round 3 must feature a dive from the list: 001A, 001B, or 001C.

Round 4 must feature a dive from the list: 5101A, 5101B, or 5101C.

Level 2; Each dive list must contain 4 dives, with no repeats. All voluntaries and optionals are assigned a DD of 1.0. The list must contain 1 voluntary and 3 optionals.

Round 1 must feature 101B or 101C.

Level 3; Each dive list must have 5 dives: 3 voluntaries and 2 optionals, with no repeats. Optionals must cover 2 categories. All dives are assigned a DD of 1.0. Rounds 1-3 must be voluntaries. Valid voluntaries include 101B, 101C, 201A, 201B, 201C, 301A, 301B, 301C, 401B, and 401C.

Level 4; Each diver must perform five dives—two voluntaries and three optionals. Valid voluntaries dives are 101B, 101C, 201A, 201B, 201C, 301A, 301B, 301C, 401B, 401C and have a combined degree of difficulty no higher than 3.6, while each optional is limited to a max DD of 1.9. The list must include dives from at least four different categories overall, and the optionals must cover three of those. Rounds 1 and 2 must be voluntaries.

Level 5; Each dive list must consist of 6 dives, including 2 voluntaries and 4 optionals, with no repetitions. The voluntaries must cover 2 categories, while the optionals must cover 4 categories. Rounds 1 and 2 must feature voluntary dives. The total DD for all voluntaries must not exceed 3.6. All dives must collectively cover 5 categories.

Level 6; six dives: selected required dive of the meet with max DD 1.8 and 5 dives, 1 from each category with combined minimum DD 10.0

3 METER

*Levels 1-3 are non competitive with all DD @ 1.0*

Level 1; four skills: 100, 200, 001, 5100 (front jump, back jump, front line-up, front jump 1/2 twist)

Level 2; four skills/dives: 001, 002, 101, and other dive

Level 3; five dives: any 3 dives from 101, 201, 301, 401 and any 2 dives from different categories

Level 4; 5 dives: 2 voluntary dives, 101, 201, 301, or 401 and any 3 dives from different groups with at least 4 categories represented

Level 5; six dives: 2 dives from different categories with combined DD 3.6 or lower and 4 dives from different categories with all five categories represented across the 6 dives

Level 6; six dives: selected required dive of the meet with max DD 1.8 and 5 dives, 1 from each category with combined minimum DD 10.0

Download an ODL dive sheet for your diver to fill out with their coaches. You will need to enter their dive lists on cleanentires.com. This dive sheet is just for them to reference when they make their competition lists with the coaches. They will need 1 sheet for each event, 1mt and 3mt.
